As a child I really thought this was the sport of the future. They had an alligator pit on the playing surface! For one glorious year in the late 1980's Rollergames graced television sets across America. Where I lived it was on the local NBC affiliate after Saturday Night Live, which meant some nights it was on after the WWF's Saturday Nights Main Event. Now that was a trashsports fan's wet dream. The game was basically roller derby, but extreme! There were banked walls, jumps and, of course, an alligator pit. Rollergames also featured such hair metal acts as Warrant and Lita Ford and a half time show hosted by the original trash talk show host Wally George. The show was a huge success recieving almost double the ratings of American Gladiators. Unfortunately it was canceled after only one season due to it's distributor going bankrupt through no fault of it's own.

Thumb Wrestling
I'm not good at much in life. I have no college degree, never a great athlete, horrible at video games. The one thing I've always had a knack for is thumb wrestling. I have double jointed thumbs and fairly large hands. The only competitive outlet I've found on the internets is across the pond. So I would like to propose an American thumb wrestling sanctioning body. Possibly the National Thumb Wrestling Alliance or Major League Thumb Wrestling. The prize money would be small at first, but I think if you grew it organically and got dedicated and bright people involved it could be the next competitive eating.
My favorite 7th birthday present
Some show on cartoon network. It was cute, but I want some real, competitive thumb wrestling action.
